Upon enrollment, the Chamber will provide all the necessary materials to guide your child through the program:

• Access to all NextGen CEO materials & curriculum: This includes digital files for easy access.
• Student Workbooks: Digital files that can be printed at home, guiding students through each session as they plan their business.
• Instructor Guide: A comprehensive guide to help parents facilitate the program effectively.
• 5 Video Lessons: Featuring insights from real business leaders as guest speakers, offering real-world perspectives and inspiration.
• Marketing Graphics: Social Media graphics that can be used for promoting the business launch day

As a parent or guardian, your role is crucial in facilitating your child's learning journey:

• Curriculum Completion: Ensure your child completes all curriculum modules and workbook activities in a timely manner.
• Guidance and Support: Work alongside your child, answering questions and providing encouragement as they develop their business idea.
• Material Management: Handle the printing of workbooks and other materials as needed.
• Financial Support: Your child may need funds to help start their business. You may need to provide these funds or help your child come up with other ways to raise money to start their business.

A unique benefit of the self-paced program is the opportunity for your child to participate in live events:

• Business Launch Day: Upon completion of the curriculum, your child will be invited to officially open and operate their business during a special "business launch day" hosted by another organization (e.g., Boys & Girls Club). The Chamber will promote this event to the community and supply promotional materials for you to invite your friends and family.
• Graduation Celebration: Students and their families will also be invited to attend a graduation ceremony, celebrating their achievements and successful completion of the NextGen CEO program.

By the culmination of the self-paced program, participants will gain valuable skills and knowledge, ensuring practical experience and confidence:

• Entrepreneurial Skills: A foundational understanding of what it takes to launch and manage a business.
• Money Management: Practical skills in managing finances and understanding cost models.
  Customer Service: Understanding how to provide excellent service and build positive relationships.
• Marketing Skills: Knowledge of how to promote products or services and create brand awareness.
• Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Ability to identify issues and devise creative solutions.
• Planning and Organization: Development of strong organizational skills for business planning.
• Real-World Application: Connecting theoretical knowledge with practical application through hands-on activities.

The Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce is committed to supporting your family throughout the program:

• Staff Support: Chamber staff will be available to answer any questions parents may have throughout the program.
• Promotion: The Chamber will promote the Business Launch Day event through its communication platforms, including social media and press releases.
• Alumni Network: Students will have the optional opportunity to join the NextGen CEO Alumni Network upon completion, providing additional opportunities to continue their business journey.

The cost for the self-paced NextGen CEO program is a licensing fee of $50 per child. This fee covers access to all materials and invitation to participate in the Business Launch Day & Graduation events.

Please note: any costs associated with the child starting and operating their business are not covered in this program.

The Business Launch Day & Graduation Celebration events will take place with the Fall 2025 Cohort at Mary Buren Junior High in Guadalupe.

As part of the NextGen CEO On Demand program, your child is highly encouraged to attend both events. Times and additional details will be announced at a later date.
